Changing the world - one shoe at a time

This is Not a Shoe (TINAS) is a research-led creative practice from the Footwear Research Network that explores the stories, materials, and lifecycles embedded in the shoes we wear. Through deconstruction workshops and guided tuition, in Naarm/Melbourne (or wherever you are in the world), we transform well-worn or beloved footwear into artworks and wearables, building a deeper appreciation for what we put on our feet. TINAS is a creative invitation to slow the fashion system, honour craft and memory, and imagine more circular, connective ways of making and valuing things.
